Citizens!

London based five piece Citizens! are one of the most exciting new bands we've come across in a while. Freshly signed to Kitsune and working in the studio with Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos, the band are intent on reclaiming pop music, stating: “Pop is not a dirty word. It’s a holy one.”

Theirs is a unique kind of imaginative pop music, pulled together with soul, integrity and a fearless sense of experimentation allowing the band to ask questions others weren't and mix musical ideas they hadn't heard mixed before. Most importantly they wouldn't allow themselves to mimic any particular moments from decades past. 

“It’s us against the world,’ Lawrence says, ‘we make our own rules and we take them very seriously. But it works because we don’t take ourselves seriously while we do it"
